Citizens Against Ruining the Environment - C.A.R.E. is an all volunteer non profit 501 (c)3 established in 1995. This is a Free, Fun & Educational Event for all ages - Live entertainment - Dave DiNaso's Traveling World of Reptiles, Big Run Wolf Ranch, Enviro Speakers, Exhibits, Eco-Friendly Vendors, Conservation information, Yoga, Food, and Games and Prizes for kids.
This is your opportunity to create a healthier, cleaner, safer environment while promoting your business or organization. We are seeking co-sponsors, donations, raffle items, exhibitors, eco-friendly vendors and volunteers.
Join us - We are seeking Green Exhibitors. This is a free event if you are a non-profit exhibitor. Just give us a call or email & some info about your organization. Schools, scouts, science projects, energy efficient orgs....
Please bring your table and exhibit information with you when you come.
If you would like to be a co-sponsor, the name of your business will be advertised on the back of the T-shirts for a minimum donation of $500. Your participation and assistance is crucial to the success of this event. Be a Co-Sponsor - have your organization's name tiered by level of contribution on the 2010 Earth Day T-shirts as follows: Gold Level $1,000, Silver $750 & Bronze $500. A major Sponsorship for $2500 or above will be given the Platinum Level! Your organization will also be in our advertising and of course, we look forward to your environmental or educational Exhibit. Flyer distribution will begin on March 1st! All donations of any amount are appreciated & we will post your name during the event.
If you are an eco-friendly vendor, bring your table and set up your exhibit or products! If you are unable to attend, we are offering you the opportunity to advertise your business via our gift bags at this event. How about doing both? Either way, what better way to do your share for the environment and advertise at the same time for a mere suggested minimum donation of $25.
Your business can be promoted in other ways as well. Provide a Raffle Item and/or advertise your business in our Business Gift Bags. We will be giving a gift bag to each person that stops by our booth with your information. If would like your information to be included in the gift bags, please send a check for $25 along with your literature, business cards, brochures, flyers, premium gifts with business name and whatever you deem appropriate to best advertise your business. Please provide as many as you can, an estimate would be 300-500. Last year we estimated 1500 attendees at the Fest! The item must fit in a 12 x 12 bag and be in our possession on or before Friday, April 1st
to allow for bag preparation.
If you are interested in volunteering, we need help with phone calls, e-mails, Internet, advertising, writing, fundraising, creating or distributing flyers, raffle prizes, or share your ideas with us at one of our meetings.
If you would like more information about C.A.R.E. or would like to be included in this Earth Day Fest just email carelockport@usa.com or call Mary Burnitz 815.838.5604 or Ellen Rendulich 815-834-1611 for more information and how you can make a difference. 2009 Earth Day
Go Green in Will County - May 17th - Join Citizens Against Ruining the Environment
As Will County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation, it is critical that we promote sustainability and provide solutions to climate change such as 'Reducing, Reusing and Recycling' and clean energy.

Find solutions to reducing your Carbon Footprint, clean energy, radon indoor air quality, private wells and groundwater, and other topics.
Citizens Against Ruining the Environment will discuss its 14 years of volunteer efforts in the environmental community. Max Mueller, Environment IL, will discuss Bisphenol A toxic chemical in children's products; Brian Urbaszewski, Respiratory Health of [1]Metro Chicago on air pollution & lung disease; what's Climate Change? Ask Sierra Club and Citizens Utility Board might help you save money!
Live presentations include Big Run Wolf Ranches' wolves/coyotes; Dave DiNaso's Traveling World of Reptiles (weather permitting) & listen to "Overman" Band. Educational events such as Earth Day unites the various environmental groups, environmentally friendly businesses and the general public of all ages to work toward a healthier, cleaner and safer environment.
